A cell phone caught the actual hanging and now it is on live t.v. in certain places-Disgusting-Even though he should definitely have been executed.

Saddam Hussein was executed in the presence of TV cameras, although the actual moment of execution was not shown on network TV. There is unauthorized video of Hussein's actual death which was allegedly taken by one of the guards or witnesses present, most likely with a cell phone video camera. That individual is supposedly under arrest at this time.

The official broadcasts were even edited specifically not to show the moment he went through the trap door.
However, there is a "bootleg" video taken by a camera phone (presumably by one of the guards) that can be pretty easily found on the Internet. It is grainy and of poor quality and leaves nothing to the imagination.

What actually happened is that Saddam was told he could live the rest of his life after all, even with a TV in his cell, but he would have to watch Oprah 24 hours a day. But just then, he pulled the lever to the trap door.

No it was not live tv, but a secret camera believed to be a camera phone. In fact there is an investigation going on about it.

No he was'nt, at least not in the USA broadcasts.
It was recorded on a cell phone though, and that is what was shown here (in the USA).
It was actually a hard thing to watch even though he was an awful man.
He was verbally abused by the hangmen...

yes, i saw it on z national tv (here in Egypt).
they also posted the video over.i saw it on yahoo video as saddam's execution.we all do believe that he was a terrorist but he could've been sent 4 jail 4ever instead of being hung.that was the worst thing i've ever seen and will see.
