I have gone to some interviews and for some reason they never call back. I'm unemployed trying hard to find a job but i can't. I've gone to job interviews but let me tell ya I'm not the type of person that uses cologne ( i just use armpit deodorants ) or is super clean cut and well combed. My hair is messy cause that's how it is naturally and i don't Gel it, i also sometimes have a messy moustache.

And i don't dress super elegant when i go to interviews. However, i have not gone to places where i they dress that way either. Example: i went to a eye hospital for a filing clerk position so i just put on some nice pants and a sweater. I didn't' look really elegant but i thought it was approp.

I saw the tyra banks show where a girl couldn't get hired and they mentioned Bad breath, and being sloppy and forgetful was why she didn't get the job. I'm that way too, the bad breath is hard to control.. And i'm slow because my mind seems slow and i don't have great vocab

So what to do?

You if dont invest time in yourself, why should a company looking to hire you? Your look is sloppy so a company can assume your work is as well. Grow up.

It's not always about cologne, messy hair, looking elegant or bad breath. Sometimes it's whether you are really qualified for the position you've applied for and, more importantly, HOW you interview. There is most definitely a technique. I'm a great interview, I've gotten offers nearly every time I've interveiwed and I may be able to help you with some effective pointers, if you like. E-mail me at nurselmh@sbcglobal.net and we'll work together to fix this.

Well, by your description, are you subconsciously setting yourself up for not getting the job. First impressions are important. Put that little extra effort into having your hair combed nicely, gargle some scope just before you have to meet with your interviewer. Trim your mustache. Don't be too hard on yourself about not getting the job about your vocals not being that great. Just make sure that you can properly answer a question in a very simple manner. If you don't understand a question that is being thrown at you, say something like that's a really good question, is there a way that you can re-phrase so that i can really understand you a little better. Any job interview is a nerve racking experience, try making that extra effort, and test yourself to see if it works. Good Luck with it.

Always overdress for an interview. The type of job you are interviewing for is not an excuse to dress sloppily. Employers notice your sloppiness, and they don't like it. You need to look like you want the job, are overqualified, and are professional. Messy hair and a messy moustache doesn't cut it. Get your act together, the competition is out there, and they have their act together.

Have you called them back to follow up?! Maybe you should start dressing up a little more? But who know maybe they found some one more qualified for these positions. Just keep trying and maybe use a breath mint!
