You should never put your husband in a place where he has to choose. I think it's ok for a husband to have a good relationship with his mother. In a matter of fact, it's been said, that you can tell how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mother. Mother's are always protective over their sons.

Because that is his God giving right and you and no one else can ever take that away from him.his mother is always going to be there when those stupid *** bitches turn their backs on them. that's why. If you have a son then you should already know the answer to your own question.I guess you wouldn't be able to understand what I'm saying unless you have to raise one on your own when the father has passed away. Hope this helps.

Probably cuz momma's the first woman son knows/loves.
And momma wouldnt have it any other way. But if she truly loves her son, she allows him to be an individual and have a life.
But surprisingly parents feel secure OWNING their children (both sons & daughters) in this way. I dont understand it either.
The empty nest is impossible for some parents.

It's not about choosing .....it's about love and care.
It cannot be denied that mother's care for there son/daughter is more than anything else. Each relation has it's own place and there should not be any competetion. It's a very natural to have it like this.

1) If the mother wants to hold on to her son, she's always praising him! (a wife has +&-). 2) Or he's STILL trying to get her approval! 3) She may have money he wants to inherit. 4) Sibling rivalry? 5) Jealousy of a step-father/father?---As many reasons as there are human beings!
