Today I downloaded a game to my pc, and after a while I've noticed that my antivirus wasn't working. I uninstalled the antivirus, and tried reinstalling it but it said something about not having access to a file.
I tried to install Kaspersky antivirus, but it says the same thing about a file.
Please, what can I do now?

Man, why do people think every computer problem is related to a virus? Typical end user ---> "I formatted my computer now it doesn't turn on....must be a virus"

Whenever you have an "X" across the McAfee icon in your system tray you may have to right-click and choose Start depending on your version. Other times the software has a problem and you need to reinstall.

The problem with most antivirus programs is that they do not totally remove when you uninstall them. Visit McAfee's website for their removal tool. You can also try the instructions at this link. Substitute McAfee products for Office 2007 products. The removal procedure is similar.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:
