"do gooders"?? As in someone who does good deeds? Like finding a wallet on the ground and returning it to the owner? Or picking up a baby's toy that they dropped? Or helping an elderly lady cross the street? Is that what you mean??
How can you think ill of someone who wants to help people?

if they simply did good things like helping an old lady cross the road ... then that is fine by me.
but unfortunately i know the kind u are talking about!! they even have aan image they keep their hair long and travel to india for spiritual inspiration. they never miss an amnesty international walk or a clean up the world walk or an animal rights walk but then they are the most one way minded ppl ever

however its kind of good to stay in their good books ... u ll never know when u might someday need them :S

Do you mean people who are "proud of their humility", as it were? Or do you mean peole who simply have a giving nature?
People who are proudly humbe are, in my opinion, hyocrites. They need to rethink their priorities.
The people that are, for lack of a better term, nice, I say good for them. It'd be great if more people would follow their example.
