How can I convert fla files to illustrator eps 8.0 format without any quality or color loss?

I have to export from freehand to illustrator CS2, but illustrator CS2 is somehow do not open illustrator ai files. confused... HELP!

Howdy,

I used to stumble my way designing stuff with Illustrator a while back. I got a lot of help from the Yahoo Illustrator group. You might pay 'em a visit.

Go to export in freehand and save it as an .eps file, then open it in illustrator and save it as an .ai file
