I am an employee at Vons In Chatsworth, CA, i'm concerned because, one of the employees had offered to give me a discount for a pack of gum, she kinda hinted to me all she had to do was have me get the gum, and then she would put it so the front of the gum would run past the scanner (so it would look like it had been scanned) and then she would put it so it would ring up as 50 cents. which would then give me a discount , i did not take it because I love my job too much to lose it, but i am concerned for her, for her wanting to do that (maybe to try to get me fired? so she could report it??), but she is the one who offered it is there anyway to e-mail my local Human Resources???? or someone Anonyomously?

You are talking about 50 cent gum. You set a good an example. hopefully she learned. If you feel strongly tell her that you thought it was not legally. She will get the hint. If you think she is a bigger stealer. Send a anonymous letter to Security. They will monitor her behaviour.

That is not a discount. It is stealing. That is what she is doing.

You can either keep your mouth shut and steer clear of her. Because they will assume you are in on it and fire you when they fire her.

Or send an anonymous letter explaining the situation in detail so they can investigate the matter. or you can go tell a supervisor.

I have found the anonymous note works best and do not tell anyone you sent the note. The best secrets are kept to yourself.

I have sent many anonymous notes to my employers which works great for me when reporting a problem.

Maybe she didn't do it to get you fired, but that is what she does for herself I mean she seems to know how to get her own discounts. It has been proven that a lot of people take things in jobs and not even big things like office supplies etc.. I am not saying that it makes it right , but you shouldnt tell on her let it go for now if she keeps stealing she will get caught. Dont let her mix you up in her dishonesty,by steering clear of her discounts

E-mail is too traceable. If you really want to talk to someone in Human Resources, make an appointment or show up (whatever is appropriate in your business). If anyone asks (even though its none of their business) you were just checking for future openings in other positions in the company so you might pursue further educational possibilities.

There are always anonymous routes for reporting negative employee actions such as stealing, ringing wrong prices or anything associated. It's sad that someone is starting out a job stealing from them.

Go To Vons.com and click on Contact Us or customer service? maybe and then e-mail them? they won't really know who sent it because they won't really contact a customer, and when they ask the people, (because most likely they'll ask around) just say oh yeah i think she would do something like that but don't tell them who sent it just agree with it.

She is trying to get you in trouble. My daughter worked in human resources for 6 yrs. Don't email her/him. Phone or talk to them in person. Don't do what you know is dishonest for any reason.
