The flag is at half mast for 30 days when a U. S. President dies. It is great to see that you want to follow the proper protocol and ettiquette for our flag. Thank you, and God Bless the United States.

there is not any set time set by technique of regulation. The pres. makes a decision how long. whilst Clinton dies he wouldn't have it flown at 0.5 mast because of the fact that he became never at 0.5 mast throughout his presidency.

30 Days, but the thing is, that when you raise it, you raise it to half mast, and when you go to lower it, you need to raise it all of the way to the top before you lower it all of the way, to signify that the country is greater then any one of it's leaders.
