i can honestly say i never used the words hun or honey. i am guilty of using babe a lot. usually i come up with my own nicknames for them though from something funny that happened. also i cant stand when other adults call me hun or honey, it goes right through me.....especially if they are around my age or younger.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even my friends use that word and they call everyone that. I like to use snugglemuff, or honey bunch or... nah I'm kidding. I don't get into the corney names like that lol

yeah, i use it WAY too much....not only in relationships, but also in my professional work....i work at a bank during the day and a retail store at night, and im CONSTANTLY saying "thanks honey " or "sorry honey"....to everyone...male and female yound and old. it's just a habit...it's a nice habit to have i guess...but as far as relationships go, usually it's babe or baby.
:)

I fully agree. Among other sickly sweet pet names that I don't like are ... babbbbyy... cookie... sweety... etc.
It's something that should be changed... that and the abused use of i love you... people aren't as selective to when they use that phrase... if it means sooo much it shouldn't be something that is thrown around soo loosely
