3 hours, you can work out. Otherwise, find a couch and sleep. I found if I took a 1-2 hour nap a day I could function quite well on 5-6 hours of sleep, and the afternoon was just as productive as the morning. I got some of my best grades when I was able to chill and sleep for a few hours in the afternoon.
Of course, that means you have to study like a dog at night.

Doing homework is always helfpul. Most univeristies have computer labs which you can use. You can work on papers do research or really just surf the net if you dont feel like doing a lot of work.
A long break is also a good time to read...if youre all up on youre school reading....or just need a break from it keep a paperback book with you that you can open up and enjoy.
You could also look into on campus employment opportunities...maybe you could tutor people and earn a little extra money during your free time.
Does your campus have a gym...why not get in a work out and get into better shape during your break. They will most liekly have a locker room to freshen up in beofre you go back to class.
There may also be student groups and organizations you can join that meet during that time you never know!
Its best to find something productive to do but thats not always realisticc so try to balance doing some work with something fun and it will make youre break time go by quicker.

I had a three hour gap last semester (and commuted). I ate lunch, then went to the library; it was a good time to do homework and spend (too much) time on the Internet. This time gave me more free time when I got home in the evenings.

I would say: Go get something HEALTHY to eat, go and get some exercise and go to the Library and study. Does your school have a work-study program? Are you eligible for it? If so, you can use those 3 hours to work at you school in the business office or where ever they will hire you and earn some extra cash. Hope I helped!

I think you could use this time to study, do homework, catch a bite to eat and on some of your less hectic days, take a nap in a friend's dorm room.
Always remember to use your time wisely!!

Some sports? Three hours would give you time to train, have shower, change, relax a bit and have a snack before going back to classes.
