my cd-r drive thing will open and close but will not spin the disk?

JUS LIKE I SAID BELOW MY CD-R WILL OPEN AND CLOSE AND THE LIL ORANGE THING FLASHES BUT WHEN YOU PUT A DISK IN THERE YOU DO NOT HEAR IT SPIN NOR DO YOU HEAR IT SPIN ON START UP ANYMORE... ANY HELP PLEASE

Open My computer and right click on that CD Drive and seeif the Auto Start option is checked. If it is, put a disk in and then go to explorer and manually try to start it. If that fails, then you have either a bad driver or drive most likely.

If it's still under warranty then take the PC in for repair. Otherwise I will guess that you may need a new CD-R drive.
