You get the fire wire and plug it into your iPOD. then you plug the other end into the computer and then it should download iTUNES. then you should be able to buy music from the shop or put in cds and load them onto iTUNES.

Hey awesome! I got an iPod for Christmas too!!! You have to download iTunes to your pc then put in a CD and let it download then go to your iTunes library and check the ones you want downloaded on your iPod and then go to files and click Synce iPod. Or you can buy songs from the iTunes store and go to your library and check the song and synce your iPod. I hope these directions are helpful. I'm pretty new to this myself! Good luck and Happy New Year!!!

It's completely intuitive.

Just get iTunes up, connect the iPod to the computer and it'll do it automatically.

The only thing to remember is not to disconnect before the iPod says it's safe to do so

Go to itunes.com and register or sign in. Find the music/song that you are looking for and find a download button. Plug in you Ipod and when the music you downloaded is saved, you can copy the music file into the ipod.

When you plug in your iPod, it shows in the list in iTunes on the left. You just drag and drop music from your library to the iPod.

These days the iPods don't come with manuals, but you can view it at www.apple.com/support.
