i am useing windows defender and i was wondering if i can use any other spyware program to protect my pc????

Actually you can use more than one anti-spyware program! Its only really firewalls and virus scanners that you should run one of at a time. Download a program called 'Spyware Blaster' its free and easy to use. Also Yahoo toolbar has anti-spy which is not too bad. Both of these shouldn't have problems along side windows defender!

Yes, there are many alternatives to Windows Defender available. However, recent consensus is that Windows Defender is just about the best anti-spyware program around today, so unless you have a specific problem with it, I'd stick with it.

Hi i use ad-aware and spy bot search and destroy, i did use windows defender with these with no problems until i noticed in the processes list that windows defender was using 100% ram , after some research i found that many people are uninstalling windows defender until this problem is fixed, so if your PC is running slow check your processes menu and see how much ram it is using, personally i would not use it .hope this helps.

You should only use one type of spyware program at a time. The same goes for virus and adware programs. Find the one that you like the best, then use only that one program.

I've got windows defender, but for some reason it has recently stopped working, can't start the program, perhaps because of yahoo anti spy ware.

I have two on mine with no problems but I don't know if Windows Defender would clash or not. Try one and see.

Go ahead and use another anti virus program of your choice.
no harm will be done.
the only time you should not use items that may clash is running two firewalls at the same time which can conflict with each other. good luck and safe computing.

ive two and no problem! if there is a problem transfer the prog file to a flash drive and use it .

use trend micro its very good and u can scan ur computer online and free
