I was sleeping in bed, I had been sick. My husband woke me to tell me a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center and it was on all tv channels. I came out to take a look at what was going on, just in time to see the other plane crash. Then the news came in about the Pentagon being hit as well. I remember sitting there feeling very frightened at what was going on and then felt incredibly sad knowing that thousands were killed and their families and friends were headed for a long grieving process. I live in Connecticut, but have family members who were working in NYC near the trade center at the time. I was very relieved to find out they were safe, but still so sad for the ones that were much less fortunate.

I was in my orientation class. Our professor told us that one plane hit WTC; at first I thought he was joking. Later on when he let us out early to go home, I found out that it was for real. I actually walked from Long island city to Ridgewood since there was no bus coming through because of traffic

My basement smoking pot.
I was actually watching the comedy network & thought that the skit about the planes into buildings was frigging hilarious.
I then had some kraft dinner.
Then I realized The show wasn't so funny because it was serious.
