I watched Modern Marvels: Walt Disney World and talked about the creation of Disneyland over in California. The buildings on Main Street U.S.A. are just regular buildings made of wood, brick, whatever. It is a smaller version of the Main Street in the old Missouri town Walt Disney grew up in. Large structures such as Sleeping Beauty Castle and Splash Mountain were built by welding steel cage pieces together and covering the structure with cement.
Here's a link to come pictures of how Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World was created, and most other large structures are created the same way...

Hope I could help!

Yes I believe so... for some buildings however
Sleeping Beauty Castle... etc.
They actually use real cement blocks.
And, Disney uses an optical illusion on some of the buildings all throughout Disneyland, where the building look bigger than they actualy are.

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/b6jZD
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

Hi,
It is bricks for sure. The sleeping beauty castle at Disneyland is made out of wood(just like all other normal houses) The Matterhorn ride at Disneyland- The hill is made up of bricks and stuff. So, it actually depends. They can make it with a lot of things. And yes, you are right. A lot of buildings are even made up of Styrofoam. They even use natural stuff.

there is a material just like Styrofoam, it is called divinisal (spell check there), it is used to make boats. It is lightweight, but, incredibly hard to break. I think many things at theme parks would be made with that, as it can be molded, cut, sanded very easily, but, virtually unbreakable.

i guess bricks like anyother building. styrofoam is too light dont you think? and they probably used metal and stone to build the rides and some fantasy houses like mickey's house in disneyland might be painted limestone. cute arent them?
