Would you recommend something other ? Why ?

Is visual basic 6 good or Vb.Net and whats the diffrence ?

No, I would not recommend VB6 to anyone. All versions of the Visual Basic development environment from 1.0 to 6.0 are now retired and unsupported by Microsoft. The associated runtime environments are also unsupported, with the exception of the Visual Basic 6 and will be supported through Windows 8. The first version of VB.Net is even over ten years old now.

If you want to start, start with the most recent version of .Net. VB.Net is true rue object-oriented programming, with support for things like class inheritance, that weren't supported in the old VB. .Net will be far more beneficial to you in the long run.
