Friends do drift apart. That is okay. That is not a reason to "blow it off". Its a wonderful chance to meet new ones and come together and share new experiences.

I would just keep the phone calls short and sweet.
Remember important things in her life. An e-card monthly or a regular mailed one- is a great touch stone.

Yet with mature relationships, its the test of time. A true friend supports and encourages each other and change! We listen and keep a sound mind and reserves judgement of men, jobs and other choices. We love our friend and that's enough.

I would just make a future plan to check out a movie.
A day to day checkin may not be the thing anymore- we grow out of that- life is too busy. That's a sad reality.

Best wishes

Relationships are like Market Prices on Stock, Gas for your Car and so forth.

They Heat up, Cool Down, go stale and so forth. Maybe you and her should plan a special time together if you "both" Value this relationship.

You know like A shopping trip to the Mall. Or other interesting things you both have common interests in...

People move on in life. Relationships prosper and then simmer. If you arent talking, that probably means you dont have anything in common or you dont trust telling that person your personal stuff. You can confront her and ask her if you did anything wrong, or if something is bothering her. It could be a outside circumstance that doesnt involve you that is bother her. If its nothing you probably have to accept that the relationship is over.

i can't tell you, but this might just be because you guys ar egrowing up, you're moving into a more mature relationship and instead of playing Barbie's or talkin about boys, you're talking about life and school. Maybe you're not "like the bestest friend ever!" but you're still friends

you did not say how old you both are, but as you get older you might find you have different interest, maybe dating etc:
but if you both have always been close and now things are not like they used to be, I think you already have your answer..
