It was a great show and all Nick has now are hundreds of angry used-to-be fans.

Nickelodeon felt it was too dark and so did most parents, so they didn't allow their children to watch it, causing bad ratings.
They do still show it on Nicktoons, and the complete series is out on dvd, so you can get a fix every now and then.

People generally thought it was too dark and weird for kids, and the humor in it went right over their heads. They're more used to things like 'rugrats', I guess. Zim appeals to a very unique crowd... I hate that it was canceled too. I thought it was very original and cool!

Like the other people said, it was scaring little kids. I was so upset becaue unlike my little sister, I LOVED it! It was unique and cool and different...I'm still in love with GIR.
