I saw a spider in my house today and this question just occurred to me. Are there any spiders that eat something other than insects, other spiders, etc.?

No. Spiders are one of the most successful groups of invertebrates around, but for whatever reason every one of the wee beasties on Earth that we know of at this time are carnivorous.

Not really sure why. There are relatives of the spiders, such as the 'daddy longlegs' or harvestman that will suck the juices from plants, as well as feeding on soft-bodied insects like aphids, but spiders don't appear to do that.

I believe all spiders are carniviours But some spiders grow large enough they can eat Birds, rodents and somtimes Fish. Its mostly common in the Trantula species and the wolf spiders species which spend most of their time hunting their food rather then spinning a web and waiting for somthing to fly into it. But i do not know of any that are herbivours.
