I have a mercury winged liberty dime from 1945. I don't collect coins and don't know anything about appraising the value. I don't think it is worth much to a coin collector, but I would like to know if I could sell it for anything. If you know how much it is worth or know of any good websites, I would like to know.

Look at the reverse and near the bottom near the E in one where the mint mark is if any. If it is a D or an S it is worth a little more, very little, than the regular 1945 no mint mark. If just a 1945 then there were 159,130,000. That is a lot of dimes. in average circulated grades it is worth about it's silver value which is some where between 7X-8X face value. It is a collectable coin, for it is needed to complete a set of Winged Liberty Head dimes. It is just not a valuable one.

any were from .90 cents up. the up being the condition. if its been handled then its only worth the silver price. save it to pass to your kids, or a conversation starter or make a game like, what happened in 1945 or why a winged figure, or what is the mace on the back. have fun

Take it to a reputable coin dealer, or contact a local coin club and ask for their advice. The coin starts out at $1.00 in good to a mircro s in fsb at $650.

hmmm....this is a toughie. If you take it to a coin collecting shop, they could tell you more....i saw the one youre talking about on ebay, and its going for about 4 dollars.....but it would be worth more to a collector, i'm sure.

It's tough to say because it depends on whether the coin is in mint condition or not. I looked up on ebay and saw that one is going for $4.00. I'm sure that's not the amount you were hoping for...sorry.
