Okay I asked earlier if it was normal to have perios like cramps early in your pregnancy I got some good answers but now I have another question. I am suppose to start my period of jan 6, I took a hpt and it was postive, yippie, I go to the doctor on the 10th of january. The cramps have somewhat decreased and i can hardly feel them anymore just every once in awhile. I guess you could say that i am worried that i am going to end not not being pregnant and start my period. Just wandering what other women have experienced with period like cramps before there actual missed period. Just being overly cautious i guess.

well, this sounds like what i was going through with my child. I was pregnant and yet i got my period for the first 2 months, i had really bad cramps to the point that I stayed in bed for about 2 weeks. I than continued to take pregnancy test and they all showed positive, however due to the fact that i was bleeding I did not want to accept that i was going to be a mommy ( i was scared and i was only 18 at the time)
I was about 2 months prego when i finally decided to get my *** of the sofa and go to the doctors only to find out that I was diagnosed with "Hyperemessis" which means excessive vomiting and cramping, not to scare you but the first and 2nd trimester were horriable for me, i had to be hospitalized for 2 months cause i was vomiting everything i ate, drank even my prenatal pills, I was put on bedrest for another month, and as time went by i was feeling better....now I have a precious 2 year old baby girl....
in your case, i would see a Dr ASAP! Cramps are normal during pregnancy, but you are always better off going to the Dr. only to find out it was nothing big, than to wait it out like i did and have it be to late to get something to help the pain before it gets worse....

Good Luck!

I had a slight period up till the 3rd month and still had cramping afterwards. This is normal for a lot of women. Go to the doctor, do not worry if you have a small period or not, they will tell you for sure if you are pregnant or not. Good luck to you!

I agree. A positive on a pregnancy test is not often incorrect. I had cramps for the first month this last time I was pregnant. Probably nothing to worry about. Congrats!

Congrats! I had "gonna get my period " cramps for about the first three months - seems my body didn't take to the idea of being pregnant easily - everything else was ok though - the "baby" is now 15.

Cramping in early stages of and (often times) throughout the preg is quite norm. Body is going thru a lot of changes. The uterus contracts as it adjusts. But when in doubt get checked out.

The cramps subsiding is most likely becuase the hormone production has increased and let your uterus know that you are pregnant so it no longer needs to contract.
