The Hawaiian Islands don't get hit too often by hurricanes per se.
They get some big storms associated with the Kona winds (from the SW) but they are not hurricanes.

Check out the link below for NE Pacific... one in the last 12 years (Kenneth in 2005)

The Hawaiian Islands don't really get hurricanes... I'd be more concerned with earthquakes....which they actually just had one a month or so ago.

Kauai is one of the wettest places on the planet though...and it is gourgous and green. Watch out for the chickens....their strays...and their everywhere...it's wierd.

Not really, but it is does get more rainfall in a year than any other place on earth.
