Its been a year since I have been single but it seems my heart is still holding me back from dating because I feel like I still belong to the person I am not even with? What should I do?

Getting over someone is no always an easy thing. You already know that time will heal you - now you want to know how much time. That is really up to you. What have you done to move on with life. Have you begun dating, joined clubs, kept active? You need to keep focused on other things and not dwell in the past. Old lovers are so good to our memories - they never make new mistakes!!!

You've got to get over it if you're going to move on. Try going out with friends somewhere, just to get out and get your mind off it. Or look for a gay support group and attend a meeting. I think that could be a help with what you're feeling .

An aside, has anyone else noticed a brain bubble of sorts in Yahoo Answers? I asked a question and it didn't post then no questions posted for about an hour.

Move on. You deserve your own life. Do not allow another or thoughts of another to rob you of power over yourself and your own well-being.
