Does anyone know if there are extensions for unemployment in the state of New Jersey. They only offer if for six months and I only have two more months to go and finding a job is becoming very difficult. Thank you for your time.

I was just at unemployment and someone was there and asked that same question. And she was told right now because the unemployment rate is low there is no extensions. (presuming there are less people out looking for a job) When it is high then there are extensions (meaning there are more people seeking limited jobs) Not that I agree with that but thats what she was told. I hope that answers your question There are no extensions at this time. good luck finding a job.

I was unemployed once for six months in 2002 to 2003. I worked in NYC and had to travel all the time to Staten Island to verify I was unemployed once a month. I lived in NJ it sucked. I know how it feels and I feel for you. You will find a job even though you may not think you will. It is only a matter of time.

If you want to work, you can find a job. Maybe you are too particular of what work you want. Walk down the srett and look around. Unemployment is misused. Flip burgers, clean toilets etc and it will motivate you to go to school or get a better job. Unemployment is glorified welfare. I have always found work, because I was not to proud to do whatever was available for a honest living.

I'm more than sure that if you really wanted to , you could find yourself a job ... But it seems to me that you would rather work hard to find ways to get money that you did not earn ... Any job is still a job and you can keep looking while you are working ... Plus an employer like it when they hire you with a working status as opposed to unemployed ... Your chances of finding a better job are better ...
