I live down by Denman and Davie Streets in the West End of Vancouver BC Canada. Where Can I Buy DRY ICE around here? AND if you could tell me how much it would cost.

Vancouver is a beautiful city and a great place to visit. There is a very seamy side, but stay over in the West End or out toward the university and you'll be fine. It's gorgeous the way it's laid in along the rivers and with the background of the mountains right behind the city in North Vancouver. Go to Granville Island right on the river in the middle of the city. Lots of good B&Bs, too. A very, very large Asian community, so lots of great restaurants, including some fantastic French and Greek ones. If you liked Seattle, you'll LOVE Vancouver.

I live in PEI and had the same problem. My advice is to go to Google.ca, type something like 'Vancouver BC Dry Ice'. Make sure to put the selection to 'Pages from Canada only'
At best, Google Maps should show up and when you go to the link, it has a map on the left of BC/Van. and a store that sells it.

And even more simple, use Yellowpages.com and use Findabuisness.

I don't know the cost or exactly where you might find a store. But check your phone book for a gas supply company. Not the stuff that goes into your car, but a store that sells oxegen, argon, nitrogen, etc. These were some of the few stores I found that sold it in my area. It just might be the same for where you live.

its relatively cheap in the U.S... and its usually at most grocery stores...

dry ice is compresses nitrogen... its a gas that has been compressed and frozen... this way when it melts it wont leave any water behind (other than condensation) it also make a fine explosion when put in a plastic bottle and a little worm water... if you are planning on using dry ice for this purpose... be very careful... you could loose a hand...

"its me" is wrong
dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide, not nitrogen

they sell it in supermarkets and liquor stores
especially on the way to camping
