OK, heres 1 thats got me stumped.
98 Astro Van, V-6, the blower motor wont shut off!
My wife called me 1 night, saying it wont shut off, even if she turns the van off.
Sure enough I got home, and the blower was running on HI only.
So, as a temp. fix, I just dis-connected the battery to get it to shut off, until I could look further into it.
The blower motor is fine, I disconnected the power to it, and it shut off.
I havent torn apart the dash yet, I think it might be somewhere around the selector switch. But I was told it could be a problem with the ignition switch since the fan is running even with the van off.

So as of now, I just ran a jumper wire into the interior with a toggle switch, as a temporary fix.

Anyone have any idea what/where to look?
Im a pretty fair shade-tree mechanic, brakes, tune-ups, etc. So, Id like to be able to see if I can do it myself.

there's a filter out on the return edge of the air handler. I artwork on my brother's York and it is that way. it is 4 inches thick. No filters in the homestead. The black stuff would be moldy slime from a clogged up drain line getting sprayed around by skill of the blower. The Ecoil isn't person-friendly to get to and it incredibly is grimy on the different side so which you desire an inspection mirror. yet, frequently no airborne dirt and dirt is a robust sign.
