I am nearly at the point of giving up on Yu Watase. After watching most of the animated versions of her manga, I found them all to be basically the same story, with different packaging each time. And it isn't even a good story. As a last-ditch attempt to prevent myself from turning into a Watase anti-fan, I am going to read one of her mangas in the hope that I will find it enjoyable. (So many people I know worship her stuff). So... Which is the best Yu Watase series, in your opinion? By which I mean, which one has the least annoying protagonist/least predictable storyline etc (which I'm starting to think is the staple of Watase series)

Her animated series follow almost exactly as in the manga. I don't know why you do not like her, but her works are great to me. The drawing is very precise and in detail... nothing can ever match the way she draws. I like the Fushigi Yuugi series, and Ayashi no Ceres isn't that bad. I heard that Alice 19th is exceptional. ^_^
