You are not short. You are like the same size as my friend and she's going into High school soon too. Look at me, I'm shorter than you. I'm only 4'11''. Not even 5' yet. You will grow if you drink milk and if you eat right. I think that other people around you are tall because that's in their genes. Your just slowly growing so don't worry okay? You will grow. And being short doesn't really matter because it really depends on what type of person you are. Take growing a plant for example. There are the ones that grow faster because it's in their genes. And then there are the ones that don't grow as fast because they need a little more time. Other people will grow fast than you but when they stop growing and you grow tall they'll be like "I'm shrinking!!! NO!!" lol. Any way good luck and don't worry about it.

First, you will probably grow another few inches... Second, be glad you are a girl that is short... I am 5'11" and a girl, I have only gone out with a couple of guys who were my height or taller... My husband is 4 inches shorter than me (which doesn't bother him at all, but after 16 years together, it still bothers me).
I wish I had some advice for you, but since I am on the opposite end of the spectrum, I can only sympathize and maybe be a little jealous!

Being tall is not all it is cracked up to be.
I am 6ft. and was taller than almost everyone in my HS. I would have killed to be in your shoes.
I agree that maybe wearing platforms or wedges or high heels would help. But also, confidence and poise will make you stand out more than just being tall.
Enjoy the fact that you will be shorter than all the boys. Guys in HS don't like tall chicks (that comes later...college boys like tall chicks) (but some still like short chicks)
Enjoy the fact that all the tall chicks will be jeolous and even some of the average chicks, too.

The freshmen guys are usually short (and it's kind of funny)! And there'll most likely be a couple of girls there who are older than you, but shorter (seniors). Just drink a lot of milk, sleep a lot and get outside for some excercise. No one's really going to care about how tall you are. It's not junior high or elementary school anymore. You're in high school now. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Okay. Yeah.

stop complaining! I have a friend who is 13, and she is like 4'7, and a friend who is 12 and like 4'5. They have to go through everyone say how cute they are, and they can't even baby sit for money because people don't beleive they are as old as they say they are. And they know they won't grow tall because there entire families both are made of short people, who never topped 5 feet.

I am 33 years old and only 5 feet tall. I stopped growing at 12. Nothing is wrong with being short. Short girls get the best guys and are always cute!!! Enjoy being small.

I am 25 years old and 5 feet tall. It is alright. In high school you don't have to be tall. Everyone is different. Try wearing platform shoes or ones with big heels.. they make you seem taller.

I was 5'2" in the 6th grade. Everybody kept telling me that I was going to be tall like my grandfather...WRONG...I am 33 and I am still 5'2"...I haven't grown since I was 10 years old...but you know what? I LOVE my height. You should love yourself for who you are. After 16 or so I got the nickname shorty and was labeled the "cutie"...I liked it! It didn't bother me at all and still doesn't.
Of course, you can get some wedge sandals or high heels (if you actually LIKE those kinds of shoes) but ultimately it comes down to being happy with who you are, regardless of height.
Just a tip though...I do NOT dress in overly baggy clothing. I like to wear things that actually FIT me. Otherwise us petite gals end up looking like big frumpy bowling balls. You can also do vertical stripes if this still bothers you...but you can't always be in heels and vertical stripes so it really comes down to embracing your height regardless!
Good luck in high school!
(Oh yeah...my husband is 6'4"...he absolutely LOVES my height and says it was the first thing that attracted him to me!)

I'm short too.5'2''. I loved it because I thought i could date any guy in school , even the short ones that were too short for the taller girls. The only drag is my height made me feel younger, so when i went out with my friends , sometimes i felt like i looked much younger.-
