Yes, it was impressive just by how they did it. They were agressive the entire game, especially in the end when it counted. Those trick plays were amazing and were run to extreme perfection. I agree Boise State isn't a "USC or Ohio State", but their determination to win that game is what draws everyone to talk about this game.

You're right, beating OU -- at least this year -- wasn't the biggest deal out there. OU is pretty good but they're not top 10 material. Given the expectations, though, and the pressure on Boise to justify themselves, I'd say it was a high quality victory just the same.
Which brings up a great point in both college football and college hoop. When a mid major or non-BSC team beats ANYONE in a BSC conference that gets trotted out as a statistic. If you beat a TOP team in a BSC conference that means something. But if you beat a cellar dweller in even the best conference, that doesn't mean anything. If a midmajor beats a teams in the Pac 10, Big 10 and SEC and those teams are USC, Ohio State and Florida, that's something. If those teams are Stanford, Illinois and Mississippi State, that's something else.

yes it was impressive. They beat the big 12 champions. Since 1999 Oklahoma and Boise State are the 2 winningest programs. They proved that they can compete with the big boys. This was a monumental win in college football for Boise State and other mid-major programs. It proved that they could compete for 4 quarters with the best in the country. It also furthers the cry for a playoff system since they went 13-0 winning every game. If Ohio State looses (which will not happen) Who should be #1? Boise State did not loose where Florida did.

It was very impressive win for the Broncos. They are a great team and have been for the last few years. I live in WAC country and get to watch them duke it out with Fresno State and Hawaii and the rest of the WAC. This was a big victory for all the little guys that "can't play with the big boys". Granted they may not be able to hang with Ohio State or Florida, USC, etc, but how many big schools can? Not many. Boise should finish ranked in the top five.

Regardless if Oklahoma isn't on the same level as Ohio State or Florida, the fact is nobody gave Boise State much of a chance against Oklahoma who has had a big name program for many years and who had a pretty good team this year as well. No I don't believe Boise would beat any of those teams you mentioned, but they would battle them anyway. Besides, there are 115 other teams that couldn't beat them either. The fact remains however, that Boise State won all of their games and if Florida upsets Ohio State they will be the only undefeated team.

You're a dumbass. Oklahoma has the most wins since 1999 out of anyone and the Big 12 is one of the stronger conferences and do you think ANYONE thats not a BSU fan thought BSU could win? Boise State proved that there should be a playoff system so that they could get a shot at Ohio State. Now I'm not saying I think BSU could beat OSU or UF cause I honestly don't think they could. But they deserve a shot. If they had a shot at OSU right now and got killed like they most likely would, then people would stop saying that BSU is at their level. Right now BSU is at their level, I mean, they are undefeated aren't they? They do have the running back with the most touchdowns in the NCAA. And they do have a great quarterback and leader in Jared Zabransky. Yeah, I think they should have a shot at OSU because what if, just what if, they could muster up enough heart and strength to win or at least stay with them? Maybe they would play even better against OSU than they did against OU because the desire to win would be even greater.
Thanks for listening to my opinion for those who did.

Yes it was impressive! Do you really think the WAC has the same caliber of athletes as the Big 12? Yes the Big 12 had a down year this year but if you look at the conferences, athlete vs. athlete, then Kansas could win the WAC and Boise would be playing in the Holiday Bowl.
And toughest game, Nebraska? I do believe Texas handed OU their butts in October.

Oklahoma is awesome what are you talking about, before the season started they were picked to be #1 in the nation, then they lost their starting QB, because he was "working" for a car dealership, and getting "PAID" they has peterson who is by far the best RB in college, if they didnt lose because of that f'ed up call to BOREegon, then they would have a legit shot for the national title game, give boise state the cred they deseve, they are national champs in my eyes, cause they will be the only team to finish undefeated, once UF beats down the Overated State U. and OSU and USC are not on UFs level cause they dont play in the SEC, no conference is a match for the SEC

I'll give Boise the credit. I mean if you think about it, they played their hearts. They don't get big recruiting classes like Texas, Florida, OSU ect. That win was all heart. But i still do not think Boise is a high caliber team. They barley beat a mediocre team in a BCS game. And if you remember, I think it was like last year or two years ago they played Georgia in Athens and boy did they get killed.
Focker out

It was an impressive win in that they were given vary little chance to win by the so called experts.
But you can not difinatively say that they are not as good as Ohio St, Florida or USC, as there is not playoff we will never know how if they could have beaten any of those schools.
I do know that the non BCS Schools are 2-0 in BCS games.
