Not all african american's do but I see your point- they struggled to get their rights just like gay people are struggling now- they should have your back, but they don't. It's a matter of forgetting I suppose- once you have what you want it's it's harder to stand up for what you believe and harder to be empathetic to the people who are in your former position. PS- I cannot believe that someone compared being gay to having trash stacked outside your house!! You do realize if you have something against homosexuals you can just ignore it?!?!? That's what I do with stuff that I disagree with just let it go dude! PPS- You choose the lifestyle of being gay?!?!?!? Puuuuulease! Why don't you spend your whole life pretending you are someone else and hating who you are deep down! I bet that's a life worth living- Hey I think all you biggots may have been born biggots but why don't you pretend not to be. Oh wait you weren't born that way you choose to hate. You all disgust me. I would rather live next door to a gay couple and a black couple and an Iraqi couple or even some goths and satanists- than a biggot. At least those people don't inherently hate people for who they are!

That's definitely an over-generalization, but there's a long history of people who are being discriminated against turning against other people. Sociologists and historians have documented this at different times in U.S. history (I presume elsewhere, but haven't read any studies), with a clear pecking order amongst minorities and strong evidence of encouragement by the mainstream for this sort of thing -- it was divide and conquer and certainly achieved their aims. Plantations in Hawai'i are a good case study because there were several Asian ethnicities, native islanders and blacks all working there.
From what I've seen however, I really don't think that African-Americans are actually any more homophobic than European-Americans. Rap is just more explicit about it than country/western.

First of all, it's not an African American thing. I'm so sick of people comparing homosexual discrimination to race.
Not all discriminate against gays. You'd be surprised at how many are in our churches. And the last time I checked, ignorant people of all races were guilty of discrimination.

This question doesn't make sense because:
1.) There are many Gay African Americans, you know lol?
2.) I don't think ANYONE likes being discriminated against.
3.) I'm Black, I have Gay friends.

I dont discriminate against homosexuals, as a matter of fact, I have several homosexual male friends! I treat them like I do any of my friends, no special treatment, or "sugarcoated" language. Perhaps its not that they're African Americans... perhaps it's becuase they happen to be ignorant people.. Dont judge a whole race of people on what certain individuals do. You should know this

I HATE GAY PEOPLE and im not black?
So what are you trying to prove, gay is not a race they are a bunch of people that are useless in our sosciety, they don't reproduce and have kids of there own, so they're nothing just a big disgrace to humanity, they are the lead to extinction of human kind,.
So i hate them and i think every other straight person should too cause its not okay to be gay.
No human being want to be discriminated.. and it does happen and always will happen black is a race and you can't change the way you look but you can change the stuff you like, and if you like othermen it could be changed,

So all African-Americans discriminate homosexuals? Are you sure about that? You need to rethink your question.
