I've never seen a college program for hospital admins. What I've seen are some MBA programs in hospital management.
I'd suggest a good liberal arts degree. In other words, be able to think, communicate, etc with lots of diverse people in stressful situations. In addition, many MBA programs require some strength in calc and stats -- you'll want to look at those programs and figure out what you need to get in.

According to the Princeton Review's article "Hospital Administrator: Day in the Life", "Health Services Administrators should have a master's degree in health services administration."
Auburn University Health Administration's Department agrees: "A top hospital administrator, almost always an individual with a Master's degree, coordinates the operations of various branches of the hospital, plans for future programs and facilities, and works with the governing board, government officials, and the general public to serve the needs of the hospital and its community."
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics maintains the Occupational Outlook Handbook, a well-known resources for career information. Under "Medical and Health Services Managers", it states that "a master’s degree is the standard credential for most positions, although a bachelor’s degree is adequate for some entry-level positions in smaller facilities and in health information management."

An MBA in combination with your health care administration degree would help you secure a job as a hospital administrator. Try a search on Monster.com and see what hospitals are looking for. If I were you I would use the Bachelors in HCA to secure a job as a nursing home administrator wich will give you experience and look great on your resume. Then get an MBA online.

Agree w/ geek.
Trend is toward degrees in business administration.
Which accounts for the "bottom line" management style in some hospitals these days of inflated healthcare costs.
A sharp administrator needs business management & fundraising ,skills but must also rely heavily on input from clinical & technical staff to maintain highest level of patient care.
Look at the way " Magnet" hospitals are structured to help make your decision.
Be one of the good guys.
Best of luck.
