I spend too much time trying to make things perfect for my wife. I worry about making her happy, constantly. And she is deliriously happy, according to her, but I feel like it's always the bad boys who the ladies would rather be with and that's where they have all their fun, even in marriage.
Ladies, what are your thoughts?

Dude, you sound like a real panzie of a push-over !! She'll be out laying on her back for other men because you're not a challenge and you're boring. Good luck with your divorce that's down the road.

I'm not a lady but I must chime in.
I think you're doing a great thing but I'd encourage you to change your context a wee bit. If you take responsibility for making your wife happy then down the road you could find yourself very frustrated. Women typically do not know what they want and are very fluid and changeable. Things are really good right now, but...
The new context I'd adopt is something along the lines of "Every day I'm going to find some new, fun, special way to do something good for her." You don't care if she likes it or not, you just do it, because that's what you do as a man in a marriage relationship. It sounds like your wife is hip to what you're doing so don't worry about being a bad boy.
The kind of bad boy that a woman wants is a man that is true to himself and his convictions and doesn't change them for anyone, including his spouse; is honorable; is trustworthy; keeps his word; etc. There aren't too many like that out there.

From a guy....I've been married for 16 yrs, and my job in this world is to make my wife happy. When you grow old, she's the one still there..not the kids. Do everything you can to treat her as she deserves...she's the most wonderful person in the world.
Don't overwhelm her,though, she'll never be surprised, But if she's become accustomed to being pampered, then you're stuck.
Some women don't want to be smothered, but if this is your comfort level then ride with it.

Hey she married you didnt she?? That means she doesnt want to be with anybody else. If she wanted to marry a bad boy then she would have married someone else. I say that you feel that you are insecure thats why you are too "sensitive" to your wifes needs. Also dont let her take advantage of your sensitivity to her needs too much. What you need to do is COMMUNICATE to your wife about this.

Well, a woman likes it when a man pampers her. But sometimes--it goes way over the limit. Chill with her. Don't stress! Don't be PERFECT! Get her a nive gift every once and a while. Play bad if that's what ur thoughts are. ;) Good luck!

that's not true. I am married to a man who does the same things for me that you do for your wife. To me, just being married to the man who loves and cares for me is enough to keep my happy. As long as you keep the communication as open as can be and always be truthful with her, she will remain happy. you don't have to be the "bad boy", but if you think that is what she truly wants, then discuss it with her. you should know by her reaction is she is being truthful or not. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make your spouse happy. Just make sure that you are getting the same in return. If you are putting this much effort into your relationship you deserve to get just as much back.

I think if your women is telling you she is deliriously happy, you should believe her. Dont stop trying to make her happy though. That's probably why she loves you.

If you want to be King, continue to make your wife Queen. If she is telling you she is that happy, you are doing it right. It sounds like you are doing all the things women write questions about, complaining that they can't get their husbands to do. Drive forward, you are on the right road!

I want my husband to make me happy. I want to make him happy as well. If she says she is happy, then just relax and enjoy being her man. If she wanted a bad boy she would have looked for one in the first place.
