How can you find out all your previous home addresses as well as your work history if you can't recall all of it? My husband is applying for a law enforcement position and they want all of this and we have been told leaving anything out will count against you, any ideas on how to make sure we don't leave anything out?

Rainy for your information... my husband served this country in the military and I think you are way to judgemental. I myself in 5 years moved over 30 times, no joke, ask me to list all those addresses and I would fail, life takes alll of us down many different paths and someof us are not as perfect as others. My husband will be one of the finest officers out there...and for the record, my family comes from a line of law enforcement, just because someone can't recall an address when they were 16 doesn't mean they aren't going to recall details of a job they are working on. (I could careless about where I lived yesterday, it has no signifance to me, so I have never kept track of the information).

Please know that if you are answering the question I would appriciate an answer not an opinion, this was a question looking for a fact based answer not, a question posted to be a personal forum or to voice your opinion fo 2 points... and you will be reported for not actually addressing the ?

Your local IRS office can help with the past addresses you have on file with their office or any jobs you have held.

Good Luck!

Background checks can be done through your State Police Headquarters.

The work history is up to you. You should be able to remember the where you worked, and then simply look up the address online from yellowpages.com. As far as home addresses go, guess what? They don't have a clue any more than you do. If you remember that you lived on Old Pass Rd. in Gulfport MS, but can't remember the address, typing in 1409 W Old Pass Rd. will give you the same results as typing in the correct address. The thing to remember is not to leave any time gaps. You can fudge the times where you lived as long as they correspond to your work history in the area.

A credit report will provide all of the necessary information you need. It goes back 10 years or so. Or if you want to get more in depth information, have him recall at least the states he lived and contact the SBI (state beureau of investigations) for each state and request historical DMV information and tax info.
