My music teacher has asked me to research Vivaldi's occupation... However, I though this was a bit of a weird question considering most people know he was a composer. Can anyone tell me if he had an unusual occupation that I don't know about or indeed can anyone tell me what his occupation was at all. Basically, answer the question?

he was a priest. he was known as the red priest. he also was the choir master/teacher at an all girls orphanage teaching them to play. i used to know why he was called the red priest, but i cannot remember now.

hi. is this lorna sandison? if so this is lucy. i have just found out that in 1703 at the age of 25, vivaldi was ordained as a venetian priest. ttfn!
