Possibly the Detroit Lions...

Well, I'm not sure what you meant in this question. The Detroit Tigers are a franchise in Major League Baseball which is not football. They are actually one of the best franchises in Major League Baseball because they made it to the World Series. If you were thinking of the Detroit Lions though which is Detroit's professional football team, then I would say that you are wrong because the Oakland Raiders had a worse record than them this year.

The Detroit Tigers played in the World Series last year and had one of the best records in baseball. The Detroit Lions of the NFL, on the other hand, are on of the worst teams in pro sports.

Absolutely. At least the Tigers made it to the World Series last year, and they are currently spending money and making trades so they can be competitive again next year. They've already started by getting Gary Sheffield. The worst franchise in sports is the Arizona Cardinals. They've never committed themselves to winning. They've just, for the first time in franchise history, gotten their own stadium. Even when they were in St. Louis, they shared Bush Stadium with the baseball St. Louis Cardinals. And then when they moved to Arizona, they had to share Sundevil Stadium with Arizona State, which that stadium is actually theirs. The only reason why they got fan support this year was because of that brand new state of the art stadium. Once the ora of that stadium starts to die down, so will the fan support. They are truly the worst franchise.

I think you mean the Detroit Lions, the Tigers just beat the team with the highest payroll is sports, the Yankees, in the playoffs.......If not the Lions, how about the Toronto Maple Leafs then......

The Chicago Blackhawks, they gave their best players away,(multiple times), keep firing coaches before they can really do anything, despite they have nothing to work with.
They refuse to show the home games on local cable (although its like watching a three hour wake on ice), raise ticket prices every year as if they are Stanley Cup bound and now draw fewer fans than the local AHL team (The Chicago Wolves, whom now I follow).

Its a shame an Original Six franchise has come to this, its probably even worse than no one cares.

I would have to disagree with you on this one. The Oakland Raiders to me would be worse than any of the Detroit teams, but the Lions are not far behind, closely followed by the Cleveland Browns.
