I think it's very hard to win a World Cup. If Greece or Croatia ever want to win, they will have to beat established teams such as Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, etc...
The best way to do this is to develop their younger players by sending them to european leagues to play and get better. Maybe then they will have a fighting chance in a world cup. But to be honest, I don't think that Greece or Croatia will win the World Cup in our lifetime.

Football is only sport that Italy is better than Croatia though Italy never won against Croatia :)))).....we were World Champions 2003 and two times second in handball, third in FIBA World Championship Toronto 1994 and second in Barcelona 92 Olympic games with Drazen Petrovic Croatia was only team that had 4 points lead against the Dream team, Janica Kostelic is better than Alberto Tomba, Goran Ivanisevic is better than any Italian tennis player, ..... all that and more in only 15 years, because Croatia is independent since June 25 1991, Croatia will win the WC the day when you'll be smarter than me!!!! :))))

If they can win the Euro (which is a much more difficult tournament,) they can win the World Cup. But not with the current squad they have.
They need management like they have in their Basketball program. Scouting for kids when they are young and offering tryouts. Schooling them from start to finish.Right now their soccer organization is a private country club.
Thank You

Maybe... you'll have to look at their past world cup achievements. Croatia has been semi-finalists a couple of times, I believe, and Greece is the 2002 Euro Cup winner... so anything's possible.

Greece will in the year 4518! And Croatia will win after the year 3000! Anytime soon, I don't think so... The only ones that will win anytime soon are the former World Cup champs: Brazil, Italy, Germany, France, Argentina, Uruguay or England. And team U.S.A. in the Moon Cup 4630!

You can never say never in regards to any side winning the WC. Our sport is full of surprises and the WC is the type of tournament that supports great acheivements and efforts. Passion, heart and courage attribute to success as well. It's not always a matter of being an established Nation that ensures you a victory.

Greece-never
Croatia-Probably,they were 3rd in WC 1998 in France. They don't have best players but they have hope and very strong wish to win every game.I watched them in WC against Brazil and even they lost they were better team and they fight for last minutes of game. That kind of team have chance to win it.
Maradona-Tell me in wich sport Croatia is better exept handball from Serbia.Mozda ste i u skijanju ali sve ostalo smo bolji!
