Does everyone else feel low now Christmas and New Year is over? It's only three days into the year and I already feel bored with 2007.

Yeah, the only reason why I was feeling low after Christmas is because I cooked all this food and brought presents for family members children who I invited over and they did not show up,only one family showed up with their children so of lot of food went to waste and I spent a lot of money I really did not have to spare and now I'm broke. I did it from my heart so they should have at least showed up I think that is the worst thing a person could do(stand someone up). When you tell someone something in 2007 try to be a person of your word because that is all we really have is our word. On the other hand I'm blessed to live to see another year and so are you so let's stop having these pity parties atleast we lived to see another year come in,unless that is not a good thing for you, it sure is for me. Hope you feel better real soon life is too good for depression,go out and buy yourself something, get a new friend, tell someone you love them, get a p/t job or just keep talking to us in Yahoo!

There are so many people who feel the same way...back to work, back to school, back to bills, and most of all back to reality! The excitement of the holidays is over.

I actually am glad the holidays are over, the additional stress, the constant shopping ads, the family is safely back home away from me :-). It is time to start planning the vacations and have time to relax.

I like some of the exercise responses, you might also want to take a moment and think of ONE thing you can change for yourself in the next 30 days, that should help get rid of the boredom.

Don't feel down and out. I think most people feel a bit low after running around buying presents, eating , eating , eating. I personally am happy all the hype is dusted and gone. All the cooking gave me a real cramp. Christmas will be around soon enough, now get yourself into the Valentine mood and start deciding what you are going to do for your loved one. Cheer - up ok:))))

Noooooo!! There's so much to look forward to in the new year. Why don't you think of one thing you really want to do with 2007 and try and achieve that aim.

Take a class to learn something you've always really wanted to do, save for a holiday?

I always feel low this time of year especially after spending October-December in the pre-Christmas mode, then all the anticipation is over in one day.

It is quite a normal feeling, it is because all your time and energies have been spent leading up to and throughout the Christmas period and now that it is all over there isn't much to look forward to except back to work and mundane things.

yes, excitement of Xmas over and now it is just dark days, dark long nights and not enough sunlight. It's easier to sit and watch telly in the evening rather than do anything.
But you are on Yahoo Answers, spending your time among friends and other people who are Yahoo addicts! So let us entertain you and welcome you into 2007 and keep you puzzling, laughing and and answering questions - should keep you occupied until the brighter days come around in the spring.

Hi Chocogirl, The only time I feel low is when a friend strikes me a virtual blow. I hate it when people I trust let me down.
