As long as you can provide observable evidence that shows there is a qualitative and substantive difference between kids and grown ups in the way they express their psychological schema, then maybe you're right.
Control mechanisms are necessary however to give so called 'grown ups' a sense of authority to massage their over inflated ego. Everyone it seems is pursuing some kind of certification to exercise authority over others and very often this authority entails making value judgements that alternate between 'good' and 'bad' depending on whether someone fits into your imaginary world of right and wrong.
Since time immemorial, it is 'grown ups' who imagine laws to give legal status to other 'grown ups' that gives them impunity (legal immunity) to go and kill thousands of innocent men, women and children ad infinitum all over the world.
The direction of your thinking is very common among those who pursue a discourse that tries to ridicule divine justice.
Social revolution based on this atheistic model of reasoning always, without fail, leads to bloodshed and mayhem and destruction because in every event there are 'baddies' who have to be 'got rid of' by the 'goodies'. A truly incoherent childlike system of thought that compared with the Santa myth makes 'grown ups' probably the greatest myth of all.
Divine justice I regret is necessary in a world that creates more injustice every day the more it believes it has the power to execute justice.
Infact, the biggest and most laughable Santa/god of all is a belief in justice http://www.inteligent.co.uk/mag/justitia.htm

no santa is somebody who parents bribe little kids with all year round to make them behave. god is some one who gets the blame everytime something goes wrong or someone dies or gets hurt. people often say that they dont believe in god but when the **** hits the fan they always blame her.

no becose God is real and Santas not. and santas not really like God to kids because if you belive in a God you should be constantly aware of him in your life... like... praying or reading your Bible.. church atc. whereas santa is pretty one-seasonal.

I don't teach my children about Santa--only to trust in the Savior.

'He sees you when you're sleeping'.... More than creepy, it's bordering on the pedophilic.
Kids need privacy and the space to make their own mistakes and learn from them. These sorts of threats deny it to them. It's not healthy.
