can i attach a 26.5MB file which i wanna send my friend?Is there any other provider through which i can send.

The max file you can attach in hotmail is 25MB, you have 2 choices to send your friend the file:
1.- Either you break and zip the files ( If it's more than one file ), so you can send it in different emails
or,
2.- Go to http://www.rapidshare.com/, which is a site that allows you to upload a file up to 100MB, so you can send the web address to your friend, so he can download it.

No you can't attach a 26.5 MB file with hotmail.
Best short term download solution is http://www.yousendit.com (7 days to download)
If you want the file to be available for a long while, use http://www.megaupload.com or http://www.rapidshare.de (available to download approximately 20 days after the last download)
