He and I have been friends ever sence grade school, we dated once a few years ago, and from that point on he's been a little jelous when I get a new bf... he's the one who decided it wasn't working, but he acts like he wants to go back. Now(today) he flipped out on me over nothing... he even said to a mutual friend that I've been "shoving my problems down his throat". I almost NEVER tell him what's going on, unless I think he can handle it... is there anything I can do?
I still have feelings for him in a more-than-friends kinda way, but didn't want to let them get in the way of our friendship... maybe that's why no one after him has lasted...

I also need to clarify that we had a BIG blow up today, one where he called me a whore and I kicked him in the balls, now he's sitting across the room with this hurt puppy dog look, and I'm trying no to cry.... how do I apologise for kicking HIM over something so dumb????

From your description he's not acting very nicely is he? Guys are funny (not "ha ha" funny) creatures. Don't know how old he is but their brain doesn't really mature until 25 or so so he may still be trying to learn who and what he is. Screening what you tell him to be sure he can handle it is making YOU responsible for his dysfunction. Friends don't flip out over nothing do they? Let him know you are not satisfied with his behavior and see if he can't shape up.

sounds like you two need to have a heart to heart talk. it's never good to hear things second-hand and so you should find out what these "problems" he's having with you are. it's possible that they stem from deeper feelings for you. my best friend is a girl and when she gets interested in other guys, i certainly try to measure them up and her and i never dated. i think it's just a natural concern that she doesn't get hurt by these guys, but i'm at least supportive and always there for her.

as for you, you might need to do some serious soul searching to determine what you want... do you really want to be more than friends with him and is this why your other relationships fail? that's a very important question that needs answering. talking to him might uncover that answer for you. let me know how it turns out.

you should probably sit down and talk to your friend... lay out all the cards on the table, be honest with him and let him know whats bothering you, be sure you ask him to do the same... if you two have a strong friendship, you should be able to talk about this and get things straightened out. Something is obviously bothering him, it's not always easy to get a guy to talk... so make sure you are not pushy on the subject of getting him to discuss this with you, he may not be ready... if you can't get him to talk to you, maybe a letter of expression might open his eyes... good luck

Well, your soft corner doesn't allow you go away from him. If you wish to be with him then don't make him jelous. He seemingly kind of a person difficult to be with for a long time. If you want to be with him then you have to have that stadfastness, and also loving, teaching, forgiving, patience and acceptance mentality.
Hope things turnout well. Best of luck.

Let him go. He knows he can't have you and he's jealous hearing about other bfs. Let your new bf be your best friend now. Or quit flirting with the guy that can't have you. Men are VERY possessive.
