How did the investigators pinpoint who it was that set off the bombs? I've been looking all over the internet, but i can't find anything that tells exactly how they pinpointed who the did it. If you know anything about this i would appreciate it.

The London Underground is covered with surveillance cameras. These were installed in response to IRA terrorism in past years. This was a big reason that the IRA quit doing subway bombs. They got good pictures of the perpetrators and where they went.

I would imagine it is more important firstly because more people died, and secondly because it marked the start of a shift in Western attitudes towards terrorism, Islam and the start of the whole War on Terror. Of course the hundreds of other acts of terrorism that have occurred in recent years around the world are important, but their significance is not as much. Also, there were more far-reaching effects - 9/11 messed up the economy for months, whole businesses were nearly wiped out and the health impacts continue to this day. I suppose the visual is also a lot more memorable - crumbling sky scrapers are obviously going to stick in people's minds more than a blown up bus. I don't think it's anything to do with Americans thinking they are better or anything like that, 9/11 is truthfully more important in terms of what happened afterwards. That's just how it is. As to the conspiracy theories, well, the sort of circumstantial evidence that fuels conspiracy theories didn't really exist in those other cases, and maybe people are just less trusting of the US government?
