I have been driving Fords for 25 years and the main fan belt has always been serpentine they gave me a poly?

cog belt for a replacment at the parts store will this belt work it looks differnt the other belt has groves this new belt has (poly cogs) ?

Poly is greatly overrated. They tell you how much better it is, but it always seems to wear out in 30,000 miles when the factory original lasted 100,000.

ether one will work but the serpentine belt will last a lot longer ,i always like the small serpentine belts,they don't slip or squeal as bad,,but if you want to I'm sure you could return it,,but it will work alright on it,,good luck hope this help,s.,
