Ok I remember this program when I was small that my mum and dad used to watch when I had gone to bed on a sunday night. It was between 1987 and 1989 and it was about this half man half ape type bloke who hid in someones barn, a young girl and boy would visit him and I seem to remember he was some kind of experiment or something? Forgive me if this description is a bit crap I would have only been 3 ish. Do you remember it?

You might be thinking of a drama called First Born. A scientist into genetics brought up a kid whose father was human but whose mother was a gorilla. Charles Dance was in it.

it's sounds like someone put together parts of the movie Poltergiest and bits of Scooby Doo together! LOL. I have no idea if what your talking about was a show or not.. I just read that and seen to many simularities to Poltergiest and Scooby Doo.. lol. ( Dont mean to laugh but it's funny! ) Sorry can't be of much help! Good Luck in your search!

Definitely Chimera. It was an experiment where a scientist impregnated gorilla to see what would result. The result was a thing looking like a gorilla but with some of the abilities of man. I can't remember how it ended.
