If you be a good friend you will make many friends. I don't know if you are looking for real or online friends but since you asked this question in the video games so ... Well you can play a lot of MMORPGs and make friends online, you may want to try out a game like Conquer Online where you can even get married to an online spouse.

I've made some solid friends playing online RPGs. In Dragonrealms (www.dragonrealms.net) it is a text-based MUD. The lack of graphics draws mainly people who are interested in roleplay (RP) and that can be great fun. I've made several friends there who I am still in contact with years after I've stopped playing. I even met the lady who has become my wife when we played Everquest 2 together. People may tell you that you won't find friends playing video games, but I beg to differ...
