I am a Co-Mason, Freemasonry for women and men. And nope, not all of us are even upper middle class. Some Brothers (yep, we call even women Freemasons "Brother") are poodle groomers, one is a lawyer, one is a used bookseller (not the owner, but the manager), a couple of us are teachers, one is a nanny, a couple are students. In short, we have Brothers from almost every occupation I can think of right now.

It does cost to join. My yearly dues are about $60 USD. Hardly a lot. I had to buy a white suit.

I will tell you this, Freemasonry helps people sort their lives out. When you get your live straight and start dealing with people on the Level, things go better. Freemasonry can be like an extended family but it is not like you get money from them or lots of special treatment (at least not in my Order). Rather, you know folks who will tell you the truth, will not try to stab you in the back, will applaud your efforts, will tell you honestly when they see you falling down.

I have changed because of my becoming a Freemason in American Co-Masonry. I suspect that everyone who enters the Lodge is changed. The motto is that we take good people and help make them better.

If I can be of more help, feel free to write me.

i think you meant to type mansions not masons and the answer to that is no because when those that are saved dies and go to heaven there is going to be many mansions up in heaven waiting for them and you dont have to be rich to go there all you have to do is ask jesus into your heart and confess that you are a sinner and that you know he died and arose again for your sins and ask for forgivness so youu can have a mansion and be poor
