This spelling "purile" is wrong. It would be "puerile" which means regarded as childishly silly or immature

The word puerile connotes immaturity. I don't know what purile is.

It means infantile or childish. It is an insult, based on the Latin word, 'puer', for a young boy. The word is actually 'puerile'.

The word, dork, is spelled puerile, and it comes from the latin "puer", meaning boy. So it means immature and boyish, like someone who can't be bothered to open a dictionary.

it's PUERILE and not purile.
Behaviour is described as PUERILE when it is silly and childish. Example - His wife had him doing things he thought were puerile and degrading. He can be very puerile when he has had a couple of drinks.
