what's scientolology?

i kinda heard it's sopme sort of science religion .. i'm not quite sure though? could anyone make this clear?

A "religion" based on a series of SciFi books written by L.Ron Hubbard and capitalized on by his son.

It is a "club" designed for the rich and famous to help them feel better about not representing Christ.

Being in a $$$rich club is more popular than being a christian and standing up for Christ.
