No. The exhaust has just the right amount of back pressure for the diesel from the factory. The engine will not sound like a performance gas engine no matter what you do.

No they sound awful, I saw a Vauxhall Nova 1.5 td build by I believe turbo packs at Avon park drag strip a few years ago it was a quick little car,it was beating standard Golf and 1.9 Pug GTI's down the 1/4 mile but sounded like a 1940's tractor. Also seen a few diesel 4x4's in Japan and Oz with big stainless systems and they sounded just as bad so don't do it as mentioned above you will lose back pressure which will lose you power on the lower end of your rev range

A performance exhaust that includes a normal muffler/sound dampener does, yes. Like a Borla or other similar exhaust system for grown adults.

One of the fast and furious fart pipes with a gigantic chrome coffee can sized pipe on the end will not sound good on a diesel, no.

I've never heard a performance exhaust that sounds ok on any car.
I have read good things about the factory optional performance exhaust on the latest 997-series Porsche 911, but as that doesn't have a diesel engine I assume you aren't interested in that.
Any other car, you'll just ruin the refinement, annoy the neighbours and increase your chav-factor.

yes, if you want loud and only on a truck. don't worry about backpressure.

Dont modify cars! save your money and buy a better car!

Do you ever see people with ferrari's putting bigger exhausts on them? I had a mate who spent 6k on a fiesta and another 20k on doing it up! I spent the same on a brand new BMW convertible! I get looked at he gets laughed at!

You do the maths!
