Go to --->Start Menu ----> Control Panel----> Internet Options
Play around in there and you will find what you need to delete internet history. You also want to delete temporary internet files as well in order to to get rid of everything. This does however lose any cookies stored on your computer. This means that if you had stored passwords or usernames for any websites, they will be removed and you will need to manually reenter them for the first time.
There are faster ways to do this within your browser, but im not sure what browser you use. Just do it this way and you will be good to go with the best clean.

To clear searches on Yahoo Toolbar, click the pencil icon beside the search box,a menu will drop down, click Clear Recent Searches. If you want to stop saving recent searches, click Toolbar Options and uncheck "Enable Search History",or check "Auto-clear Search History when quitting IE" to clear history when you close your Internet connection.
>To clear searches on Yahoo Home Page or any other Yahoo page, double click the search box, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it,hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted.

On Internet Explore select Tools, then Internet Options.
Near the bottom of the dialog box you'll see "History". You can select clear history and it will be gone. Also you can set the days to 0 if you never want it to keep the history.
