Take prenatal vitamins. Eat fairly healthy. Don't smoke, don't drink.
Go to the Doctor and talk about all this.

For the 1st three months you should take a vitamin suppliment that contains folic acid - after this time there is no need and have been reports that it could be damaging to take it for longer than the 1st 3 months -ask your gp. Don't drink alcohol/do drugs/smoke. Don't eat pinapple/cheeses apart from chedder. Make sure all meat you it is cooked thoroughly and that all egg products are cooked thoroughly - these precautions protect the baby against listeria and salmonela poisoning which can be life threatening. Make sure you eat as much fresh fruit and veg as possible. Get as much sleep as you can now as you will not be getting any when the bubs arrives - I have a 4 month old, and since going into labour have not had a full nights sleep.... I am breastfeeding though which means I am the one that has to feed her every 3 hours. You may choose formula - however breastfeeidng is recommended and proven to protect babies against illness and build up their immune systems against allergies etc. Just take it easy and get everyone else to do the hard work for you. Hope this helps??

Congratulations! This is a very special time for you all. Try to enjoy all the phases of the pregnancy. Folic Acid is necessary up o 12 weeks but you should consider you diet as your body has a lot of work to do so fresh ,organic if possible veg and cut down on the junk. Def stop smoking. Read Allen Carrs 'Only Way to Stop Smoking Permanently' makes giving up a doddle. Don't worry if you are feeling happy, weepy or snappy, its the hormones. They settle down. You may feel incredibly sexy around 20-30 weeks. I did!! Ho hum! If you feel sick try ginger biscuits but I found drinking soda water helped enormously. Maybe eat a small snack before you get out of bed. Useful role for the dad to be!! a little after 12 weeks you should start to feel more lively. Make sure you rest when tired, exercise gently when not. Stay off the booze. Get your BF to and talk and maybe sing to your baby. It very special bond you are building. Men feel very detached and unneeded when the baby comes. You must make him feel he is still the most important adult in his life. Keep your medical appointments up and read up as much as pos so you are not surprised when you go into labour. Choose the birth you want and although it hurts it doesn't last and remember if pregnancy and birth was so bad we wouldn't exist, and some African women give birth in huts! Good luck

First thing, set up an appointment with a doctor, the sooner the better. Most of the times he will prescribe the vitamins and supplements you will need that will be the most beneficial to you. As for stuff for the baby, I always waited until later (3rd trimester) in the pregnancy to start planning what to buy for the baby just to make sure everything was going to be okay. Not to mention family and friends may just want to plan a baby shower for you. So for now, I would just wait and see how things go. Good luck and God bless you and you little one (and dad too).

if your not already, go to the drug store and buy some prenatal vitamins, take one every day. Folic acid is something a growing baby needs.
also find a good OB/GYN or Midwife. make sure you keep all your appointments and do what they say.
i would look and see what your city has in the way of teen parenting classes as well. Make sure to keep your BF active in your and babys care as well. He will feel good being a part of the prenatal care and will be more attached.
good luck sweety, i hope everything works out for you.
oh yeah,i really good place for support is the expecting clubs over at www.ivillage.com
ive made some great friends over there and they are really great for advice.

The answer to this all depends what country you are in. if you aren't from America then you wont understand what a OBGYN is or what prenatal vitamins are. Obviously you should go and see your doctor to get antenatal care (UK) and you should be taking folic acid to fight against spina bifta. there are vitamins out there available for pregnant and breast feeding women, but these are not compulsory and you have to buy them. pay attention to your own body and if you are feeling excessively tired or getting headaches or badly swollen ankles go to your doc as it could be that you are low in iron or developing pre eclampsia. avoid anything that contains raw egg, eg. mayo and any raw meats. ensure that poultry is cooked properly and avoid pate. Get plenty of rest and try not to get stressed. try to eat a healthy diet and don't try to lose any weight. as for your partner he should try to read anything he can that will prepare him for the birth and give him realistic expectations of life with a baby (the nhs now does parenting classes that you can both attend) make sure you attend all check ups and read all the booklets and info that the midwife or doc gives you. this sounds like a lot but this is the type of things it says in those booklets! congratulations and good luck!

Well, you should be taking prenatal vitamins and eating a healthy diet. Vitamins you can get at any drug store, sometimes cheaper than a prescription depending in your insurance. At 2 months pregnant there isn't much else you need to do. See a doctor for prenatal care though, at your age you're technically "high risk" and should be seen regularly to make sure everything is going good. Good Luck!

I was 16 when I had my son. The most important thing is to go see a OBGYN now. They will have advice, vitamins, and let you know exactly what to do and how to do it.
If you do not have access to a Dr. right away you need to go either to a Health Department/Free Clinic, or call your local state or county office. They will get you into a program to get you into a Dr. Good Luck.

You need to see a doctor and then you will need to get on Prenatal Vitamins....this gives the baby and you all of your nutrients. You want to eat good foods, fruits, vegetables, meats. Hopefully nothing will make you sick. The best thing to do is go to the doc and they will give you a lot of info on what you should eat and what you can expect and there is a book that you can get. Its called "What to Expect when Expecting".
Hope this helps

take a multi vitamin, folic acid (very good for baby) and Iron.
Start buying baby things now. Nappies(diapers), baby clothes, babies creams, soaps, shampoos etc... Stock up month by month.
Don't listen to eveyones advise on pregnancy, you do what feels right and if you are uncertain phone and speak to your doctor/gynea. he is the expert and is looking after you and the soon to be little one.
GOOD LUCK and enjoy the pregnancy

You need to get benefits from your state. Like Medicaid, they will pay for you OBGYN appointments and the delivery of your baby. You can get foodstamps to help out with your house, and then get WIC. It's for you and the baby but when the baby is born it's for the baby. It's baby formula. So check out your local Department of Children & Families and go from there because that is where you get all that stuff and it won't cost you anything. Good luck and I wish you the best.
